Infinitas Film was founded in 2019 as a production company for the film The Gift, a documentary about Andrei Tarkovsky's mysterious stay in the medieval village of San Gregorio da Sassola. After the long film, he produced his first short film, A Georgian Toast, a brief history of the meeting between Marlen Chuciev and Federico Fellini at the Moscow Film Festival in 1963, realised for the centenary of Fellini's birth. After an interlude due to various international circumstances, Infinitas Film in 2024 became Infinitas Srl, structuring itself in the panorama of small independent Italian film companies, with a window open also in the field of cinema publishing. Infinitas Srl is inspired by the film work of Marlen Martynovič Chuciev, a Georgian director from Tbilisi transplanted to Moscow. Infinitas Srl sees itself as heir to the great tradition of cultured cinema from Eastern European countries and Slavic cultures.
